Carpet seems simple, but the details decide how it looks and how long it lasts: power-stretching so it does not ripple, placing seams away from light and traffic, and choosing the right pad for the carpet and the room. The installers in our network do bedrooms, basements, stairs, and whole homes, with clean seams and proper stretching — not the kick-and-tuck that loosens within a year.

From cozy bedroom carpet in a Canton subdivision to durable, stain-resistant carpet for a busy Macomb Township basement, we match you with a pro who installs it to last.

What’s included

  • In-home measure and seam planning
  • Old carpet and pad tear-out and disposal
  • Subfloor check and minor prep
  • Quality pad sized to the carpet and room
  • Power-stretched installation (not just kick-stretched)
  • Stair wrapping and custom seam placement
  • Transitions to adjoining hard-surface floors

The two things that ruin carpet — visible seams and rippling — both come from install shortcuts. The installers we match you with seam carefully and power-stretch properly, and they are insured for work inside your home.

How it works

Measure & plan seams

A pro measures and maps seams to fall away from main light and traffic paths for the cleanest look.

Tear out & prep

Old carpet and pad come out, the subfloor is checked for squeaks and debris, and minor prep is handled.

Lay pad

The right pad density and thickness for your carpet and room goes down — pad quality drives comfort and lifespan.

Install & power-stretch

Carpet is seamed and power-stretched tight so it stays flat and ripple-free for the life of the carpet.

Detail & clean

Stairs are wrapped, edges and transitions finished, and the site vacuumed and cleaned.

Carpet Installation: common questions

How long does carpet installation take?
Most homes are done in a day; large homes or lots of stairs can run into a second day. Tear-out of old carpet, furniture moving, and stairs add time. It is one of the faster flooring installs.
Does the pad really matter?
A lot. Pad is the foundation — the right density and thickness make carpet feel better underfoot and dramatically extend its life by absorbing traffic. Cheaping out on pad is the most common false economy in carpet.
Will the seams show?
With good planning and technique, seams are minimized and placed where light and traffic hide them. They are rarely fully invisible, but a skilled installer makes them very hard to find — a big difference from a careless job.
